    Health, Safety and Environment

In Al-Askar Group, the health and safety of our people is a top priority. We are always focused on taking the right steps to protect the health and safety of our employees. Since it is one of our strategic goals, we are committed to create an accident-free work environment where continuous improvement is a driving factor. Through effective administration and training, our supervisors and workers are dedicated to eliminating all the possible “near misses” to reduce any risks of injury.
Our philosophy is simple: “ensuring customer satisfaction is dependent on the wellbeing and safety of our employees”. Al-Askar organizational members and staff are devoted to implement all the necessary precautions at all times and circumstances to protect everyone. The welfare of individuals is our concern and we believe that no job is to be regarded so urgent that time cannot be taken to do it in a safe manner.
The supervisors in Al-Askar are trained and held accountable for the health and safety of their subordinates. Our supervisors are not only responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment are safe to be used in operations but they also should make sure that operators and workers comply with the established health and safety practices and procedures and know exactly how to operate every equipment. Everyone involved in operations will get the necessary training in their specific tasks to protect their health and safety.
We always strive to raise awareness among supervisors, employees and subcontractors to protect their own and their fellow workers’ health and safety in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all the applicable regulations and safe work practices and procedures established by our company.
Additionally, we take pride in our endeavour to protect the planet. We aim to minimize our impact on the environment through pollution prevention, reduction of natural resource consumption and emissions, and recycling of waste.
We recognize that a safe work environment can be established and sustained only through a united effort by all employees and subcontractors and that the contribution of each individual is required. Attitude and cooperation in promoting accident prevention will assist in achieving our goal “no one gets hurt” and will help in making our company the best place to work at.
